Changing Things Up

The other day I switched up the little alcove that's in the corner of our living room.

Sorry, I forgot to take a "before" photo to show you what I changed [maybe next time!]. 

I didn't have books on the shelves before because they aren't very deep, so this time I thought I'd try putting some books on it for a different look. Even though they over-hang slightly I don't mind.

I also got to use these bookends for the first time. They've been sitting in a box for quite some time and were initially for my husband's office. However, since they weren't being used I decided to put them to good use! Then I added a few little accessories and some photos and now it has a whole new look. 

 So easy to do and maybe took me 15 minutes max. 

Sometimes I forget that if I'm wanting a change around our house all I need to do is swap things in & out and rearrange. Much cheaper than going out and buying something! 

Can't believe the weekend is here again already. 

After work today I'm looking forward to relaxing!
