A couple of weeks ago while on our vacation in Cape Cod we decided to take the train into Boston for a day. Seth has been to Boston lots {and absolutely loves it} and I had never been {but always have wanted to go}.
He ended up being the perfect tour guide {he's pretty cute too!}.

As with any city, there is so much to see and do, sometimes it's hard to know where to start. We had about an hour train ride into the city, so we mapped out some things we wanted to do and places we wanted to see. We knew right away that we wanted to do a Duck Tour, so we started with that. This was such a great way to see a good amount of the city in a short amount of time. We started at the Prudential building and went all over the city from there. With the Duck Tour you go on land and water, so a good amount of the tour was on the Charles River.

We also spent a good amount of time at Quincy Market (seriously awesome food), Newbury Street, and the public gardens.

There are so many amazing buildings throughout the city. Definitely lots to look at!

We had wanted to go to Fenway but unfortunately the Red Sox were out of town. We'll have to do that next time!
Such a fun city to visit {and I was only there a day}! Can't wait to go back sometime!

  2. You guys definitely fit in a lot. I've been to Boston so many times (B was living between there and NYC when we met - and his family still lives in the area). We visit all the time, and there is still so much we have left to see. You guys definitely did a ton for one day, and great choices!

Next time you return, I also recommend visiting the North End. We did that last time, walked over and bought some canoli's at Mikes and ate them by the green space, so we could see a ton of the city as the sun set! Beautiful end to a long day of walking the city! :)

  3. Thanks for the heads up, Kerry! We will have to try out that canoli place next time we go - I loved it and definitely want to go back!

And yes, we did seem to pack a lot into 1 day - somewhat exhausting, but totally fun and worth it :)
