Dresser Reveal

I feel like I have been waiting forever to show you my dresser from this post.
A couple of weeks ago I got fed up with the fact that I hadn't crossed anything off of my project to-do list for the summer. Determined to accomplish something I decided to paint the little dresser that sits in our entry. I was going to go with...you guessed it, white. However, I decided I wanted a little bit of colour since the entry is painted white.
You can read here about how I decided to go mint & you can look back at this post & this post for the updates in between.

Let's look back at what I started with...

Clearly this thing was in rough shape. Dear land.

Before I got to the priming I gave the piece a light sanding. I probably didn't have to since the primer I used {Zinsser} will stick to anything, but nevertheless, I saw no harm. After a light sanding I wiped the piece down with a damp cloth to remove all the dust.
I also needed to fill the holes from the previous hardware and then after letting that dry and then sanding that down I was set to prime!

Here's a little look at the process...

And here's a look at the finished product...

There's a bit of a difference in the paint colour in the above 2 photos - the 2nd is probably a bit more true to the colour in person.

Here's a closer look at the hardware I chose:

The black & white ones are from Anthropologie and the clear ones I ordered off Amazon {I love the vintage feel they give the piece!}.

All in all, I am really pleased with the way it turned out and I am so glad I went "mint". I can't wait to update some other pieces of furniture that we have kickin' around! :)

Hope you've had a great week & enjoy your weekend!
