Smoothie Kick

I've been on a bit of a smoothie kick lately. It all started a week or so ago when I came down with a nasty cold. I was drinking lots but didn't feel like eating, so I decided to try an get some substance in smoothie form. And like I I'm on a smoothie kick {which isn't necessarily a bad thing}.

Berry smoothies are probably my fave. Here's what I like to throw in:

1/2 cup of skim milk
1 single serve yogurt cup - approx 1/2 cup 
{I like blueberry, blackberry or vanilla}
1/2 banana {sometimes this is frozen, sometimes it's not}
A handful of frozen blueberries AND raspberries
1/2 tsp ground flax seed
3 ice cubes...give or take

Blend & Enjoy!

I'd like to throw some spinach in there sometime. I just haven't gotten around to it. I need to make a conscious effort to buy spinach at the grocery store {not because I don't like it}. Lots of times I just forget and then remember when I am home...getting ready to make a smoothie.

  3. I hope you are feeling better ... I've been meaning to start making smoothies I have saved a few yummy ideas on pinterest but have been to lazy to bust out the blender LOL !
