Polka Dots & Stripes, Oh My!

I was fortunate to win a gift card to Online Fabric Store through a giveaway that Rene recently did on her blog Cottage & Vine. Actually, I was pretty pumped! My fabric arrived on Wednesday and I'm not gonna lie, I was excited! It's even prettier in person...

I opted to get a yard each of 8 different fabrics rather than getting a large amount of one kind. I decided to go this route because: A) I don't have any big projects lined up where I need a lot of fabric for one thing and B) there were just so many great fabrics it was hard to choose!

Of course I had to get some combos of black & white fabric...

1, 2, 3, 4

I like them all, but I really like the Jo Jo Black {the ikat polka dot one}.

I decided to get a couple that were in the grey department called "storm". That dandelion fabric was one that just had to come home with me.

1, 2

I also got a couple of navy fabrics because, well, navy & I are friends...

1, 2 - I couldn't find the blue/polka dot on the website, thinking it is sold out.

Sensing a theme? Yes. I like polka dots and stripes of any kind. I played it "safe" and got fairly neutral colours just because I am not really sure what I am going to do with this fabric yet.
Well, I do have plans for one project. It involves recovering the seat of the chair in our home office space. I have yet to decide if the chair is going to be painted, stained, or left as is {suggestions welcome!}. And now, I have to choose what fabric to cover the seat with. Decisions!

Now that the fabric has arrived I suppose I should get to work on my game plan. No excuses now!

Happy weekend, friends!
