Not Your Average Coffee Table

The coffee table.

There is nothing wrong with the coffee table itself, and there are many that have great shape, form, and character. However, these coffee tables aren't necessarily the usual sort of coffee table and I love that.

Take a look...

It's always great to see things repurposed and find new life. Using an old door as a coffee table certainly makes things a bit more interesting. In this case, I am really loving the weathered rustic look of this door as a centerpiece in the room.

Another great coffee table idea? Trunks. I love the idea of placing a trunk in a room to use as a coffee table. A bonus is that it more than likely will provide storage. This is especially perfect for small spaces.

The "pouf" is all over the place. And using two smaller pouf-like ottomans is a great way to create a coffee table - especially if you don't have one! Simply add a tray and you're done. The great part? They're versatile and can be used as extra seating if need be.

These are just a couple of great ways to create a coffee table that isn't the average. What other great things have you seen transformed or used as coffee tables?
