Life Lately
As you may have noticed, things have been rather quiet around the blog the last little while. It's been a busy few months for us, so I thought I'd share a little update on life lately.
First things first, if you've still been hanging with me after all this time, you may have clued in from Instagram, and this last post, that we have finally MOVED. If you don't know what I'm referring to you can catch up here & here. And even more exciting about our move, we bought a house. Our first house! We arrived to our new home (and new province) at the end of April and we are slowly getting unpacked and settling in. So, the last little while, we have been prepping for a move & packing & doing all that other fun stuff that you have to do when you move. And then of course, the unpacking and setting up. If you've ever moved, you know how exhausting the process can be. Things are coming along though; and you better believe I'll be sharing the house with you all soon!
Here's E the first weekend breaking in our walk way with her sidewalk chalk. She's been running around the house like she's always owned the place, so it's safe to say she's loving the new house. And thankfully she's adjusted extremely well with the move (sometimes you just never know with kids). So for that I am thankful!
PS - I can't wait to paint the front door...that green has got to go!
The move was one of those bittersweet things. We were excited to go (especially since we bought a house!) and start the next journey that God's taking us on; but it was also hard to leave and move further away from family & friends. And, it was also a bit hard to leave a city that we've lived in for the past seven-ish years. It's where we have lived the longest since being married, so in a lot of ways it had become "home". Like I said though, we are excited for this next & new chapter and all the things that are ahead of us.
Another thing that happened in the last few months is that we celebrated E's second birthday. Her birthday was at the end of March and what a fun little time we had getting together with family. Time has gone by so fast and it's crazy to look back and see how much she's grown. She is at such a fun age and she's learning so many new things everyday. We kept the party simple and low key but I'm hoping to share a few little birthday details soon. Better late than never, right?
Lastly, we found out in February that we have baby #2 on the way! Fancy baby #2 will be arriving in late October. It hasn't been until the last few weeks that I seem to have a bit more energy. Not going to lie, for the first little while I felt like a bit of a wreck. Not feeling the greatest, the obvious tiredness, chasing a toddler around, and then everything else happening in between. There was lots going on. But, we've made it to the second trimester and I'm feeling quite well at the moment. We're very excited that our family is growing and E seems to be excited whenever we tell her there's going to be a baby. Hopefully that continues once he or she arrives!
